The "AAGL 5th International Congress on M i n i m a I I y Invasive Gynecology" has been organized by collaboration of the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL) and the Turkish Society of Gynecological Endoscopy (TSGE) in İstanbul, one of the most beautiful cities of the wor!d, betvveen April 6-10,2011. With intense efforts, the congress organizing committee has prepared a scientific program vvith rich content. Seven Postgraduate courses have been organized and the best surgeons in the field have been given tasks at these courses. İn addition, we consider that vvith 6 Iive surgeries from several countries the Congress will be extremely exciting. These Iive surgeries will be performed by Joerg Keckstein from Austria, Peter Barton Smith from London, England,William H. Parker from Los Angeles, California, Kevin J. Stepp from North Carolina, Mete Gunor and C.Y. Liu from İstanbul.
The opening speech entitled "İstanbul: Capital of Three Empires" vvill be given by Victor Gomel.
Keynote lectures vvill be given by Victor Gomel, Arnaud VVattiez and Stephen L. Corson.
There will be four debate sessions at the Congress also.
The Congress venue hotel, Swissotel The Bosphorus, a recepient of numerous awards, is one of the best hotels in the world. The hotel is located almost inside of the Bosphorus. On the first day of the congress, an opening cocktail reception will be held with a magnificent view of the Bosphorus and on the last day, a gala dinner on boat trip around the bosphorus is scheduled.
